Weekend and Longer Workshop Terms and Conditions:

Deposits, Balance of fees and Cancellation policy:

Please email us in the first instance to check availability.  We will then send you our suggested payment methods.

Your registration is guaranteed only when we have a deposit payment.

Registrations are allocated on a first come first served basis. If we cancel the workshop you will receive a full refund of your booking fees. Workshop itineraries may be subject to change due to weather, road conditions or other unforeseen circumstances related to the normal vagaries of travel and outdoors photography.

Final payment is one week prior to the start of the workshop unless otherwise specified.

Cancellations must be in writing or by email.

If you cancel more than 30 days before the workshop starts, we will refund any money you have paid to us for the workshop.

If you cancel less than 30 days before the workshop starts, we will refund any money you have paid to us for the workshop, less the deposit.  We will refund the deposit if another participant can be found to fill the vacant place.

If you cancel less than 7 days before the workshop starts there will be no refund of fee or deposit unless another participant can be found to fill the exact vacant place (i.e. your place on the workshop in the style of accommodation that you requested) we will then refund any money you have paid.

Travel insurance:

Travel insurance is the responsibility of the participant. To cover unforeseen circumstancesis it is recommended for people flying in from out of town for the workshop, . Camera and equipment insurance is the responsibility of the individual photographer.

Camera experience required:

A modest level of photographic experience would be advisable to get the most out of the tuition. Familiarising yourself with the basic camera operations would be strongly advised. Please bring camera manuals in case we need to make adjustments to your camera settings.

Not included in the workshops:

Unless otherwise stated you are responsible for your own travel arrangements for the workshop, (travel to and from and during the workshop).  Often participants will car pool during the workshop; this is sorted out amongst participants at the time.

Often all food is suplied except the first evening where it is your responsibility. Sometimes we will have an evening meal out at a restraunt and this will be at your own expence (unless otherwise stated ).

Minimum numbers:

All workshops are based on a minimum number of participants booking. This may vary from workshop to workshop. If we cancel due to minimum numbers not being reached you will get a full refund. Other bookings you may make are not our responsibility and so we recommend travel insurance to cover this.

What else do you need to know?

There may be some moderately energetic walking involved to get to certain locations (see FAQs), so please consider this related to your physical abilities. If you have any other medical conditions that might affect your enjoyment of the workshop please let us know.

Evening and early morning shoots will form part of the workshops. You may choose to not participate in these, but we recommend that you do take part. Early morning shoot times are entirely dependant on the sunrise times, so the schedules we set for departure will be adhered to rigidly. It's not fair to the group as a whole to have to wait for a late riser, so we will leave exactly at the times we say.

Please bring clothing suited to early morning or evening shoots that may be a little chilly, sturdy foot wear, hat, sunscreen and camera of course….

Like any trip away from home please bring personal medication requirements.

We usually start the workshop the evening before the weekend.  This is a chance to get to know each other and sort a few things before the first early morning shoot the next day. Please consider this when planning your travel arrangements.

Liability Limitation Statement:

N.Z. Photo Workshops aim to provide every participant with a safe, educational and enjoyable experience during the workshops. As there is always an element of risk associated with the outdoors and travel in general, we accept no responsibility/liability for injury, death, illness, losses or additional expenses associated with workshop participation. Of course naturally, we are still subject to all New Zealand laws.

Privacy Statement:

The information provided by participants will not be released to any other parties.
